Introduction and Early History

Green Eco Solutions is a green energy solutions provider founded by Grace Gitiha. Based in Naivasha, Nakuru County, the company began operations in 2014 and was incorporated in 2016.

Green Eco Solutions was established with the mission to enhance livelihoods through the provision of clean cooking solutions, driven by the reality of forest destruction in search of a reliable, affordable, and environment-friendly cooking energy source.

Inspiration

Our founder, Grace Gitiha, draws her inspiration from the late Nobel peace prize laureate Prof. Wangari Maathai’s quote: “I will be a Hummingbird: I will do the best I can.”

This inspiration has been a cornerstone of Green Eco Solutions’ journey, motivating Grace to make a positive impact on the environment and society.

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to enhance livelihoods through the provision of clean cooking solutions. Our vision is to be a leader in clean fuel solutions in East Africa.

This commitment is reflected in our innovative products and dedication to environmental sustainability.

Milestones

Grace Gitiha, the founder and CEO, has been recognized for her leadership and impact. One of our most popular solutions, Makaa Tunza, translates to “Charcoal That Conserves” in Swahili. This product is a briquette derived from repurposed waste biomass mixed with a binding agent.

It is advantageous because it lasts three times longer than ordinary charcoal, is cost-effective, smokeless, and has lower carbon emissions.

Achievements and Future Goals

Grace feels accomplished working on something that positively impacts communities and the environment. She is dedicated to continuing this work and expanding Green Eco Solutions' reach to provide sustainable and clean energy solutions across East Africa.
